Kelly Rowland, 43, has been on the receiving end of support from her fans after she found herself embroiled in a face-off with a member of the Cannes Festival's security team.
On Monday, the former X Factor judge attended the premiere of the French film Marcello Mio donning a flowing red gown and sporting an eye-catching blonde bob.
Rowland smiled and posed for photos on the red carpet as well as waving and speaking with fans who'd gathered at the event.
She was soon ushered along the carpet by staff but when she got to the steps to the venue, things took a sour turn.
It became clear Rowland took exception to one member of security's demeanour, in particular, after they had raised their arm up to shield Rowland from turning around.
Inaudible words were exchanged in the footage that has since emerged following the incident but Rowland was clearly unhappy as she began pointing in the woman's face.

Sources have since spoken out about the incident and explained the possible reason why Rowland became embroiled in the verbal altercation.
An insider reportedly said to DailyMail.com: "The people who are assigned to helping stars walk the red carpet were being aggressive and Kelly was trying to ignore it.
"By the time she got to the last woman she had had it because she scolded Kelly and told her to move when she was trying to wave to fans and help the paparazzi get their shot.
"She doesn’t care if she comes across like a diva if she knows that she is advocating for herself. She isn’t fake and wanted to set a clear boundary."
Not letting the incident dampen her experience at the lavish film festival, Rowland appeared to ignore it altogether when she returned to Instagram soon after.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Rowland reposted an image of herself on the red carpet from news outlet Corriere Moda.
"Fun in Cannes," she simply said upon her social media return followed by a love heart emoji.
Soon after, she posted a series of snaps behind the scenes of her show-stopping red gown.
Rowland wrote in the accompanying caption: "Cannes Film Festival Red Carpet Thank you… @kilianparis for having me!! @messika for the [diamonds] @anamikakhanna.in for the red dress."
Before long, fans flocked the comments section of the posts to share their support for the singer.

"DISGUSTED with the way @kellyrowland was treated! APOLOGIZE," one fan demanded before a second echoed: "I don’t like the way they made Kelly feel @kellyrowland WE LOVE YOU!!!"
"'Don’t talk to me like that!' TELL THEY A*S KELLY!!! You look good!" another weighed in.
A fourth applauded: "Lets talk about how Kelly stood up to that security guard."
While a fifth added: "The audacity to disrespect an icon like you! Thank you for putting them in their place." (sic)
