A billionaire businessman who counted Prince William among his friends has died at the age of 53 after reportedly swallowing a bee whilst playing polo in England.
Sunjay Kapur, chairman of global automotive parts manufacturer Sona Comstar, collapsed during the match yesterday afternoon.
Reports suggest he suffered a bee sting to the mouth, potentially triggering anaphylactic shock that led to cardiac arrest.
The Indian entrepreneur's former wife, Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor, previously discussed his polo matches with the Prince of Wales in media interviews.

Mr Kapur was a familiar figure on the exclusive polo circuit frequented by members of the Royal Family.
Just hours before his death, Mr Kapur had posted on social media about the Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad.
"Terrible news of the tragic Air India crash in Ahmedabad. My thoughts and prayers are with all the families affected. May they find strength in this difficult hour," he wrote.
Sona Comstar confirmed his death in an official statement: "We are deeply saddened by the sudden demise of our Chairman, Mr Sunjay Kapur.
"He was a visionary leader whose passion, insight and dedication shaped the identity and success of our company."

Author and actor Suhel Seth expressed his condolences on X, formerly Twitter: "Deeply saddened at the passing of @sunjaykapur: he passed away earlier today in England. A terrible loss and deepest condolences to his family and to his colleagues."
As chairman of Sona Comstar, Mr Kapur led a global automotive components empire with operations spanning India, the United States, China, Mexico and Serbia.
The company specialised in providing crucial components for the electric vehicle industry.
His influence extended beyond his own firm. He served as president of the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India and held the position of co-chair of the Confederation of Indian Industry's Manufacturing Council.
Under his leadership, Sona Comstar established itself as a significant player in the international automotive supply chain, particularly in the rapidly expanding electric vehicle sector.

Following his divorce from Karisma Kapoor, Mr Kapur married another Bollywood actress, Priya Sachdev Kapur. The couple welcomed a son, Azarias Kapur, in 2018.
Ashoka University in New Delhi paid tribute online: "Ashoka University mourns the passing away of Sunjay Kapur, Chairman, Sona Comstar and a valued member of the Ashoka fraternity.
"A prominent figure in India's business community, he will be remembered for his leadership. Our deepest sympathies are with his family at this difficult time."
The Doon School, regarded as India's equivalent to Eton, described their former pupil as "a passionate fitness and sports enthusiast and a learner for life" who "worked to make polo more accessible beyond its traditional roots."
