Romeo Beckham has paid tribute to his father following the football legend's knighthood, sharing a photograph on Instagram Stories with the caption: "So so proud of you," accompanied by four heart emojis.
The 22-year-old posted an image showing himself grinning at his father, who was dressed in a white tuxedo and black bow tie.
David, 50, described receiving the honour as "incredibly humbling" and called it "an emotional moment for me to share with my family."
The former England captain expressed his gratitude in a statement, saying: "Growing up in East London with parents and grandparents who were so patriotic and proud to be British I never could have imagined I would receive such a truly humbling honour.

"To have played for and captained my country was the greatest privilege of my career and literally a boyhood dream come true.
"Off the pitch, I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to represent Britain around the world and work with incredible organisations that are supporting communities in need and inspiring the next generation.
He added: "I'm so lucky to be able to do the work that I do and I'm grateful to be recognised for work that gives me so much fulfilment. It will take a little while for the news to sink in but I'm immensely proud and it's such an emotional moment for me to share with my family."
The former Manchester United midfielder officially became a Knight of the Realm this week after years of being overlooked for the honour.
He took pride of place on the King's Birthday Honours list alongside acclaimed actor Gary Oldman and The Who frontman Roger Daltrey.

The knighthood recognition comes after a distinguished career that saw him captain England and become one of the most recognisable British sportsmen globally.
David was knighted for his services to sport and charity, including his work with Unicef in their campaign Malaria No More.
His wife Victoria, who received an OBE in 2017, will now be known as Lady Victoria Beckham.
