Prince George, aged 11, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7, drew particular attention during the celebrations.

The young royals participated in the earlier procession from Buckingham Palace to Horse Guards Parade whilst their parents fulfilled ceremonial duties.

During a poignant moment, the children bowed their heads alongside other family members for a minute's silence honouring the 270 victims of the Air India tragedy.

Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, guided the youngsters as they observed from a separate balcony, joining the wider royal family in this mark of respect.
