The duo are expected to meet for a second time later in the year

Carl Froch believes John Fury is a 'bad egg' and that Tyson Fury would be wise to cut his father loose from his camp ahead of his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk later in the year.

Fury and Usyk are poised to battle once again in October, having both put on a show in Saudi Arabia earlier this month.

Usyk came out on top, with the Ukrainian winning via split decision to maintain his unbeaten record as a professional.

John has been criticised, however, with Fury's father seen giving his son instructions during the bout in the Middle East.

And Froch believes Fury would be better off without his father involved in his camp, labelling John a 'bad egg'.

"John Fury interfering in Tyson's corner could have been the difference between winning and losing," he told Lord Ping.

"His coach Sugar Hill knows everything about the game, he was trying to give him instructions.

"How can Tyson focus on SugarHill and take on those instructions when he's got John Fury shouting down his ear and talking s**t to him through the ropes, it's impossible.

"You can't listen to two people at once. That could have been the difference between winning and losing in a close fight, that interference in the corner could have cost Tyson the fight."

He added: "I think John has played his role well to sell the fight but he's stepped over the mark when he headbutted that kid, so I don't see the need for John Fury to be involved going forward, causing trouble. I don't see the benefit to Tyson.

"When you've got a bad egg in the camp, you have to get rid of it.

"John needs to give his son a wide berth because he was a negative distraction.

"He was not a positive addition to that camp, I don't think he brings anything to the table for Tyson.

"And I think if Tyson is serious about having a chance to beat Usyk in the rematch he needs to tell his dad to f**k off."

Froch has never been fond of John.

And he's now admitted he'd only consider a fight with the 59-year-old for charity, while urging Conor McGregor to offer John a fight in Bareknuckle FC.

"If John Fury is serious about fighting anybody it should be Joe Egan because he doesn't want to think about taking me on," he added.

"I wouldn't want to hit John Fury, I'd only consider it with 18 oz gloves and steady move around for charity.

"But he's gone quiet on that, he's gone missing.

"If it could get sanctioned, Conor McGregor should make John Fury and Joe Egan in Bareknuckle FC.

"I think it would be great if John grew a set of b******s, put his money where his mouth is and backed up all this talk.

"It would be wonderful if he came out of hiding and took on Mike Tyson's former sparring partner Joe Egan.

"If Conor McGregor makes that, that's going to be big. But don't hold your breath."

Fury was pained by his defeat to Usyk earlier this month, with the 35-year-old losing his first professional boxing match.

Yet his promoter, Frank Warren, has confirmed a rematch will happen - while also expressing a belief it could be an even better spectacle than the first.

"There will be a rematch," Warren said.

"I think it will be better than the original fight.

"They both know each other, they've shared the ring and they'll be looking to use what they've gained from the fight as an advantage to beat their opponent."
