Aldi has unveiled three new Kombucha varieties priced at £1.69 each, responding to a 35 per cent increase in customer searches for the fermented tea drink on its website over the past two years.
The budget supermarket introduced The Juice Company Kombucha range in Passionfruit, Ginger & Lemon, and Wild Berry flavours on 11 June, tapping into the growing consumer appetite for gut health products.
The launch comes as Google searches for gut health have risen by 26 per cent in the UK over the past year, reflecting heightened interest in wellness-focused beverages containing live cultures.
The Passionfruit variety offers a tropical tang with bubbly refreshment, whilst the Ginger & Lemon option delivers a warming immune boost paired with citrus notes. The Wild Berry flavour provides a naturally sweet berry blend.

The Kombucha launch follows Aldi's introduction of Kefir Frozen Yoghurt at £2.29 for 500ml tubs.
Available in Chocolate, Mango & Passionfruit, and Strawberry varieties, the frozen desserts are fortified with calcium and protein to enhance gut health and overall wellbeing.
Aldi has ventured into the premium pâtisserie sector with Specially Selected Chouxnuts, priced at £2.99 for a two-pack.
The supermarket launched the trendy pastries in Raspberry & Pistachio and Banoffee & White Chocolate varieties on 11 June.
The Raspberry & Pistachio chouxnut combines crisp golden choux pastry with pistachio mousse and raspberry filling.
Each pastry receives hand-finished touches including Belgian white chocolate drizzle, freeze-dried raspberries and chopped pistachios.
The move marks Aldi's strategic expansion into upmarket bakery items, offering premium pastries at competitive prices compared to traditional pâtisseries and high-end supermarkets.
