The iHEAT Heated Jacket for Women has been recalled
OPSS
The womenswear jacket could catch fire. The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) warned: "The product presents a serious risk of fire as the lithium-ion battery pack is poorly constructed and does not provide sufficient protection to prevent thermal runaway.
"Additionally, the power supply is fitted with a noncompliant plug, with the plug pins too close to the edge of the plug face, exposing the user to live parts.
"The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs & Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994."
Anyone who has purchased the jacket should stop wearing it. The OPSS added: "We recommend owners stop using the product immediately and contact the distributor you purchased from to request redress. Owners should not dispose of lithium-ion batteries in normal household waste."

The OPSS added: "The product presents a high risk of fire due to the lack of cord anchorage. Over time, this will fail to prevent movement of the supply cord, leading to strain being placed on the components and connections.
"Internal wires may detach and cause a short circuit/overheating, leading to a fire. The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016."
