The Clarkson's Farm stars have been at loggerheads with the local council over changes to Diddly Squat in recent years

Throughout the first two seasons of Clarkson's Farm on Amazon Prime Video, fans have watched Jeremy Clarkson get to grips with ruinous sheep, disobedient cattle and turbulent weather conditions.

However, arguably one of his biggest battles has come from the protestations of the local West Oxfordshire District Council.

As documented in season two, Clarkson had his plans to expand the farm by building a restaurant and extend his car park rejected.

But upon appeal to the Planning Inspectorate back in March, a decision was released in June that Clarkson may extend his car park at his Chadlington farm just outside Chipping Norton.

However, the decision to reject a new restaurant being built at the premises was upheld.

Now, Clarkson's other half Lisa Hogan has shared the "exciting news" that the two have been implement the big change to the farm.

"We have a car park," Hogan penned on Instagram alongside a video of the car park as she gave a virtual tour.

Speaking to her followers, she said: "Exciting news with my new car park!

"Look at that, it's all happening," Hogan continued. "And guess who's the first to park on it..."

Hogan shot a smug look down the camera before she pointed to herself and quipped: "Oh yeah!"

The news sparked a wave of excited reactions from Clarkson's Farm fans, with many bemused at the initial decision to deny permission in the first place.

One fan wrote in response to the video: "At long last. So why didn't those muppets just say yes in the first place."

Meanwhile, a second fumed: "Well done just keep the woke clowns from the council away."

Another shared their praise: "Bloody well done. Looking forward to Clarkson farm 3.."

While a fourth also took aim at the local council: "It's about time. Congratulations. All this hassle because of the pathetic and idiotic local council.

"They have done more harm than good. Hopefully you can get that local farm co-operative up and running now as well."

And a fifth echoed: "Fabulous can't see what the fuss was about. I'm sure it will help people from parking wrong etc!!

"I'm also sure the shops in village will be making so much more money and your brilliant for hospitality!! Keep going." (sic)

The introduction of a new extended car park will be welcome news to locals in Chadlington as traffic and parking at Diddly Squat has posed problems ever since the farm shop opened.

The Amazon series documented how Clarkson failed to predict the overwhelming number of fans who'd turn up to the shop upon it opening.

Fans will be able to see how Diddly Squat is growing and all the latest happenings at the farm when Clarkson's Farm returns for a third season.

However, Clarkson has revealed season three is still some way away as filming is set to continue deep into October 2023.
