A brief moment during today's Trooping the Colour ceremony showed Prince William guiding Prince George into position on the Buckingham Palace balcony.
The 11-year-old Prince George appeared slightly out of place amongst the gathered royals when his father intervened.
Video footage circulating on social media captured the Prince of Wales speaking quietly to George during the closing moments of the flypast. William made a small gesture, prompting his son to adjust his position on the balcony.
The young prince immediately followed his father's instruction, moving along the balcony. The interaction was so fleeting that many watching would have missed it entirely.

The Princess of Wales maintained careful watch over her three children during the balcony appearance. Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, seven, flanked their older brother throughout the ceremony.
As the RAF's Red Arrows concluded their display, Louis enthusiastically waved to the assembled crowds below. Charlotte turned to acknowledge the public with a smile, gently guided by her mother's hand.
The three siblings demonstrated exemplary behaviour during the lengthy ceremony. They had earlier travelled with their mother by carriage from Buckingham Palace to Horse Guards Parade, with Charlotte and Kate coordinating in aqua-coloured outfits whilst the boys wore matching suits with red ties.
Prince George's royal responsibilities have gradually increased as he approaches his 12th birthday. The second in line to the throne has attended more formal engagements in recent months, marking his evolution from young spectator to active participant.

Last month, George accompanied his parents to a Buckingham Palace tea party hosted by the King and Queen.
The event brought together veterans and members of the World War II generation, representing George's first attendance at such a formal gathering.
During the reception, he was observed shaking hands with guests and listening attentively to their stories whilst seated beside Prince William.
Royal sources indicate that William and Kate are carefully introducing their eldest to official duties whilst preserving his childhood.

The annual Trooping the Colour parade marks the sovereign's official birthday celebration, held each June regardless of the monarch's actual birth date.
King Charles, 76, and Queen Camilla travelled by carriage along the Mall, with the Queen wearing a white silk crepe dress by Anna Valentine featuring silver embroidery and a Philip Treacy hat.
Senior royals, including Prince William, Princess Anne and Prince Edward, participated on horseback. All wore black armbands honouring victims of the recent Air India crash, with a minute's silence observed during proceedings.
The ceremony featured over 1,400 soldiers and concluded with the traditional RAF flypast over Buckingham Palace.
