A quintessential British favourite has been pulled from shelves over an error with packaging, with a classic UK pie brand declaring that the products are "not safe to eat".
Pieminister Kitchens has issued an urgent product recall affecting multiple pie varieties following a significant labelling error that could pose safety risks to consumers.
The British food manufacturer confirmed that several of its products have been incorrectly marked with use-by dates extending a full year beyond their actual expiry.

The Food Standards Agency warned: "Pieminister Kitchens is recalling various Pieminister pies as they have been labelled with an incorrect use-by date. The products have been labelled with use-by June 24 2026 instead of use-by June 24 2025. The products are therefore not safe to eat beyond their intended use-by of June 24 this year."
This twelve-month discrepancy means customers could unknowingly consume products well past their intended shelf life, raising serious food safety concerns.
The company has warned that consuming these pies beyond their intended expiry date would be unsafe and those who have purchased any affected products are entitled to full refunds upon returning them to their original point of purchase.
