Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's house hunt indicates the couple do not intend to back down from their ongoing feud with the Royal Family.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have begun searching for a property near London in a bid to find a base back in the UK, according to a source.

The couple were evicted from Frogmore Castle earlier this year following the release of Prince Harry's autobiography Spare.

In his memoirs, Harry fired multiple public attacks on senior members of the Royal Family including the King's wife Queen Camilla and Prince William.

The Sussexes released an official statement confirming that they had been asked to leave their royal residence.

The couple were given until after King Charles's Coronation, which Prince Harry attended alone, to remove their belongings from Frogmore.

The Duke of Sussex returned to the UK in September to attend the WellChild Awards, however, he lacked a permanent residence to stay at.

Harry requested that he be allowed to stay in a room at Windsor Castle but was told he had provided an insufficient amount of notice to the Royal Family.

The rejection of his request may have been the moment Harry decided he needed to find a property of his own in the UK.

However, his house hunt does indicate that he has no immediate plans to reconcile with the King or the rest of the senior royals.

If the Duke of Sussex was to hold productive peace talks with the Royal Family they would most likely be allowed to stay at royal residences during their visits to the UK.

Prince Harry's decision to look for a property that is independent of the Royal Family is symbolic of his desire to continue to distance himself from the monarchy rather than get closer to a resolution.
