Prince William will now join King Charles, Queen Camilla and Prince Saud bin Khalid Al-Saud in the 1st carriage in the Royal Procession at 2pm.
The Princess of Wales was printed on the carriage list for Wednesday's Royal Procession but this has been updated to reflect her absence.
Kate is understood to be disappointed about missing the renowned social and sporting event.
The sudden change came as a surprise to racegoers, particularly as William had been scheduled to present race prizes on the second day of the meet.

Ascot officials had published the carriage list at midday, confirming the Princess would travel in the second carriage alongside William during the royal procession.
However, Kensington Palace announced her withdrawal before 12.30pm, prompting a revised carriage list.
The Princess of Wales's mother Carole Middleton did attend the races today.
She was accompanied by Alizee Thevenet, who is married to Kate's brother James Middleton.
The last-minute nature of the withdrawal suggests the Princess continues to carefully manage her public appearances whilst recovering.

The royal procession at Ascot is marking its 200th anniversary this year, having begun in 1825 during George IV's reign when the monarch was accompanied by the Duke of Wellington.
Yesterday, the King and Queen attended the opening day of the races.
They welcomed guests to the royal box including Charles's nephew Peter Phillips and his partner Harriet Sperling, an NHS nurse.
The five-day meet continues to be one of the most significant events in the royal calendar.
