David took to Instagram to share the emotional reunion, posting a photograph of himself with his mother and sister Joanne at Tony's Traditional Pie & Eel House in Essex.

He wrote: "Lunch with Mum, haven't seen her since the news... Mum cried when she arrived, cried during lunch and cried when I was leaving x special moment for us all. Love you mum x @sandra_beckham49 (Dads next)".

Sandra responded to her son's post, revealing her own overwhelming emotions.

She commented: "Love you more... was emotional people saying congratulations Sir... see tears again".

The heartfelt exchange drew thousands of responses from fans celebrating the family's joy.

David's sister Joanne also commented on the post, writing: "She hasn't stopped crying happy tears. Such special times. Unbelievably proud of you. Love you".

Victoria Beckham expressed her pride in her husband's achievement, writing on Instagram: "You've always been my knight in shining armour, but now it's official.

The update comes as rumours of a feud between the Beckham husband and wife and their eldest son, Brooklyn and wife Nicola Peltz continues.

The reported rift was further speculated on after Brooklyn "snubbed" his dad's sweet Father's Day message.

The Manchester United legend, who first made his Premier League debut in 1995, was previously awarded an OBE by the late Queen Elizabeth in 2003 for services to football.

He has been a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador since 2005 and was named an ambassador for the King's Foundation last year.
