Prince William has been angered by Prince Harry's continued partnership with Netflix

Netflix has released a first look at how Prince Harry and Prince William will be portrayed in the new series of The Crown.

The streaming giant released an image of the actors playing the princes ahead of the first part of the sixth season of The Crown dropping on the platform next month.


Part one of the royal drama will be released on November 16 2023, while the second part of the final season will be available to watch from December 14 2023.

It comes as Prince William has been angered by Prince Harry's continued partnership with Netflix.

The Prince of Wales feels the streaming giant is "ruthlessly exploiting" the Royal Family, according to a friend of the royal.

The new series of The Crown will depict a young Prince William meeting Princess Kate at university.

Prince William and Prince Harry's mother Princess Diana, who died in 1997 following a car crash in Paris, will be portrayed in the series as a ghost.

A friend of the Prince of Wales told the Daily Beast: "William is angry about a lot of things in connection with Harry.

The Prince of Wales feels the streaming giant is "ruthlessly exploiting" the Royal Family, according to a friend of the royal.

"His decision to work with Netflix, who have ruthlessly exploited the family, is certainly one of them."

They added: "It’s incredibly hurtful to have his mother exploited over and over again in this tawdry fashion by Netflix.

"He won’t watch it, but he will be totally sickened by it."

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's partnership with Netflix has provided the streaming giant with a "halo" of credibility, according to a television executive.

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle signed a lucrative contract with Netflix after they stepped down as working members of the Royal Family.

They told the Daily Beast: "Royal content is massive for them and they probably would have signed Harry and Meghan for the documentary anyway.

"But The Crown is one of their biggest shows and signing Harry and Meghan certainly had a halo effect on its credibility."

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle signed a lucrative contract with Netflix after they stepped down as working members of the Royal Family.

The Crown will end its coverage of the Royal Family with Charles and Camilla's wedding in 2005 as the last major event depicted by the series.
