Meghan Markle has confirmed that her podcast will not be returning for a second series as she shifts her attention to developing her lifestyle brand, As Ever.

The Duchess of Sussex, 43, revealed the decision to take a break from the podcast despite its popularity, stating she needs to concentrate on the "building phase" of her business venture.


The announcement marks a strategic pivot for the duchess, who launched the "Confessions of a Female Founder" podcast in April through Lemonada Media.

The duchess made the revelation during a June 17 appearance on "Aspire with Emma Grede", where she joined the SKIMS founding partner for an extensive discussion about entrepreneurship.

During the conversation, Meghan confirmed that her podcast series, which premiered on April 8 via Lemonada Media, is currently on pause.

When Grede questioned the decision given the programme's success, saying: "I was hearing about that podcast everywhere and you've decided to stop and focus on the business."

Meghan responded simply with: "Have to."

The podcast featured conversations with prominent female entrepreneurs including Whitney Wolfe Herd, Jamie Kern Lima, and Tina Knowles.

Meghan explained during the interview: "As I knew I was in this building phase of my business, what an amazing opportunity to pull back the curtain and let people see what's happening at the start."

She acknowledged the enthusiasm for another series, stating: "I love that there's so much excitement and desire for another season, but I need to focus on my business."

When pressed by Grede about stopping despite "huge success", Meghan confirmed with a simple "Yes."

The duchess described her decision to launch the podcast as "perfect synergy" and praised Lemonada as "a safe place" to host her programme.

The duchess confirmed that editing for the second series of "With Love, Meghan" wrapped "last week".

Meghan revealed the juggling act behind her multiple ventures, explaining: "I wrapped season one of my Netflix series. Still had to promote it, still had to be in the edits for season two."

She noted that her team was "in pre-production of one season while we were doing post-production of the other."

The duchess confirmed that editing for the second series of "With Love, Meghan" wrapped "last week".

The programme is set to air this autumn with Michael Steed returning as director.
