The Duke is battling to have high level security reinstated

The Duke of Sussex is keen on a royal return because “everything else he’s done has failed”, according to Angela Levin.

Speaking on GB News, the royal author said the Duke would return as a “changed” man and would pose a risk to the Palace.

It comes as Harry fights in court against a Home Office ruling over his security protection when visiting the UK.

He wants to overturn a ruling that saw his security status downgraded after he ceased being a “working royal”.

Angela Levin says Harry wants a royal return

Levin said this is an indication of his willingness to return to the royal fold.

“London is his home and he wants his children to be here”, she said.

“They can’t be unless they get top protection. I thought to myself, if he starts doing that, it’s because everything else has failed.

“He wants to come back. He wants to be a member of the Royal Family again, but my goodness he is a very changed Harry and he’s going to do what he wants.

“The fact that he has no respect for his father, no respect for his birth, I think he is going to be a big danger because he will go into competition with the Royal Family themselves.”

Harry has turned his back on the Royal Family

Prince Harry’s lawyers opened the proceedings at the three-day hearing last week by arguing against “unfairness” in how the Home Office’s decision was made.

The Home Office said the Duke’s security is decided on a case-by-case basis.

Levin said affording the Duke with the protection he is looking for could set a dangerous precedent.

She told Nana Akua: “I don’t think he deserves [it]. It’s police with guns. He can get a second grade one if he wants with no trouble at all.

“But if he wants that, he takes them off the street for people like you and me. They will have to have four of them, three times a day they change.

“I think that’s really dangerous. I hope that the decision that’s made is that he can have very good protection.”

The committee that arranges security for members of the Royal Family and other VIPs - known as Ravec - decided in 2020 that Harry would no longer have the automatic level of security he was previously given.

The Duke’s lawyers argued last week that a lack of transparency was offered, adding the Duke had not been treated the same way as others.
