The Duchess of Sussex is now 41, celebrating her birthday on Thursday.
Alongside husband Harry, she now lives in Montecito, US, with son Archie and daughter Lilibet after the Sussexes' high-profile exit from the Royal Family in 2020.
Taking on an ever-more-prominent political role, Meghan is known to have called senators Shelley Moore Capito and Susan Collins to discuss paid parental leave and climate policy in the US.
But royal author Tom Bower has claimed the Duchess will have to "realign her image" if she is to take on a more official political role in her home country.

And the investigative journalist, who recently penned 'Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors', suggests this process is already under way.
Referring to her and Harry, he claimed: "I think they have to realign their image. In any case, they are burning their royal status pretty fast now."
It came as Mr Bower accused Meghan of "playing the royal card the whole time" and explaining that he doesn't think "that will play well in an election for Congress or Senate if she did pursue politics".
He told Palace Confidential: "I think they will, in the end, have to give that up because it won't wash."
It comes after Meghan’s half-brother, Thomas Markle Jr joked on GB News’ Dan Wootton Tonight that he would “move to the UK” if his sister ever formalises a political role.
Dan asked Mr Markle: “When you were growing up with her, did you ever get a sense that she harboured political ambitions?"
Mr Markle replied: “Never, never got a sense that she was after anything political whatsoever, it was always fairy tales and princesses, that’s what she focused on.
“As far as politics go, if that ever happens, I’ll probably move to the UK.”
