The surge of migrants funnelling through the US southern border will not be halted until Donald Trump becomes President, according to Byron Donalds.

The US representative for Florida’s 19th congressional district spoke on GBN America about the issue that is becoming a key battleground for the US election, where Joe Biden is expected to come up against Donald Trump.

According to Donalds, Trump is going to “shut the border down” and “get everything back under control”.

It comes after new analysis from Fox News found nearly 7.3 million migrants have illegally crossed the southwest border under Biden’s watch.

In the current fiscal year, 961,537 border encounters have already been encountered according to the US Customs and Border Protection.

“Trump is going to get everything back under control”, Donalds vowed.

“Border agents will actually be able to do their jobs once again as opposed to essentially becoming process servers and paper pushers. They’re going to actually secure our border.

“The drug cartels are going to lose billions of dollars because they’re not going to be able to traffic people and fentanyl that much into our country.

“Our cities will be able to take a breath.

“I believe President Trump is going to be able to do it. We have got to send people home.

“President Trump coming back, that is what you’re going to see.”

Biden is reportedly considering executive action that would stiffen up border controls.

He wants to raise the standards used in the initial asylum screening at the border which will assess whether migrants have ‘credible fear’ to be fleeing origin countries.

It follows the historic impeachment of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas earlier this month as Republicans made their feelings on the matter clear.

The House impeachment articles said Mayorkas breached public trust.

Trump has vowed to prioritise tightening the southern border and said the number of deportations will be in the millions with him at the helm.
