UK weather: Wet and windy for many Sunday. Unsettled next week

Today:

Wet and windy for many. The heaviest rain over Wales and England with some coastal gales whilst the far north of Scotland brighter with showers dying out. Mild for many feeling colder in the rain and wind.

Tonight:

Rain slowly clearing eastwards from much of England then another areas of rain moving from Scotland and Northern Ireland into Wales and northern England overnight. Showers in the far north.

Monday:

Rain and showers over northern England and Wales slowly moving southeast. Some brighter, drier conditions developing for Northern Ireland, southern Scotland and northern England. Increasingly wintry showers in far north.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Rain or showers and very strong winds at times, especially in the north. Mild in the south, but occasionally colder in the north with some wintry showers.
