BBC journalist Amol Rajan once said the public role of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge is 'total fraud' and called Prince Philip a 'racist buffoon.'

An open letter by Rajan called on Prince William and Kate Middleton to 'renounce the luxuries of royal patronage and aristocracy' after the couple announced they were expecting their first child.
The reporter claimed 'everyone will be a winner' if they chose to do so.
The reporter continued in his scathing letter, saying the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge do not have 'special claim on the glorious city of Cambridge' and called on them to 'quit pretending' they do.
