Meghan Markle's new "Archetypes" podcast was launched earlier this week with the release of the first episode

Buckingham Palace is “worried” about potential stories Meghan Markle may reveal in her new podcast, a royal expert has claimed

The first episode of Meghan’s Spotify podcast, titled “Archetypes”, was released on Tuesday to mixed reviews.

During the episode, Meghan sat down with tennis superstar Serena Williams to discuss a wide range of topics.

Among the topics discussed included Meghan having to leave her son Archie following a house fire in South Africa, in order to take part in royal engagements.

An investigation into the handling of bullying allegations made against the Duchess has seen HR policies improved for royal staff - but the changes have not been made public. A senior palace source cited the confidentiality of those who took part in the independent review as the reason why details were not released, after current and former workers were invited to speak about their experiences of working for Meghan. While during a discussion about moments in Ms Williams’ time as a player, Meghan said: "Oh my gosh you were treated completely unfairly.

But the Palace are reportedly “not keeping calm” following the release of the first episode, with 11 more shows expected in the coming months.

Sussex friendly journalist Omid Scobie said: "I’m told Buckingham Palace aides were most definitely not keeping calm, nor carrying on after the show’s premiere on Tuesday, worried about what else might be shared over the next 12 weeks."

Mr Scobie added that one aide told him it was unfair for Meghan to speak out when the Palace can’t respond to any of the claims.

But the commentator added: “This is the reality the royal institution helped create.

"Uncensored and unbothered, Meghan, like Harry, has managed to create a healthier and happier existence since being shown the door after the couple’s half in, half out proposal was rejected.

"The two are now free to show their battle scars as and when they see fit," he told Yahoo.

At the conclusion of Meghan's opening podcast, the Duchess of Sussex announced that singer Mariah Carey will be her next guest.

And elsewhere, it was revealed upcoming speakers during the 12-part podcast will include actresses Mindy Kaling and Margaret Cho, as well as comedian Amanda Seales and author Allison Yarrow.
