Eamonn Holmes reveals nightmare commute back to England that left him on runway for hours.

The Breakfast host did not return to his home until 11pm last night after his delayed flight back from Glasgow.

He said: "Yesterday was was chaos really at Glasgow Airport. The winds just bled havoc. So whether you were in Glasgow or whether you're in Aberdeen, whether you're in Newcastle and up north, it was it was difficult.

"And my situation in Glasgow, the plane made two attempts to land so it couldn't touch down, uh, therefore it headed off to Manchester to refuel.

"That meant the plane that I was looking for to go to London wasn't available."
