Norwegian Cruise Line has unveiled details about its newest and biggest ship

Norwegian Cruise Line's Nowegian Aqua is the first in the latest Prima Plus Class.

The ship is 10 per cent bigger than its sister ships, spanning an impressive 1,056 feet.

It has more outdoor space than other ships and focuses on guest-first experiences.

The ship, which will set sail in April 2025, prides itself on the world's first 'Aqua Slidecoaster' - a hybrid rollercoaster and waterslide.

Those on the ship can enjoy time on the high-tech LED sports floor, the Glow Court.

It will feature a sleek beach club, aqua park, adults-only areas as well as lots of activities to keep children entertained.

The ship will be able to carry 3,571 and is already taking bookings.

Guests can book now to travel on Norwegian Aqua's seven-day Caribbean cruises from 2025.

The ship will have an eye-catching and colourful design across it created by artist Allison Hueman.

Inside, guests will find some of the cruise provider's most spacious accommodations including a keycard-access-only complex.

Rooms in this area will spread over two stories, with a dining and living area, three bedrooms and floor-to-ceiling windows.

The haven complex will give access to an outdoor spa, hot tubs, an infinity pool, an exclusive bar and more.

President of Norwegian Cruise Line David J. Herrera said: "Norwegian Aqua is a true testament of fusing together what represents the future of our Brand as the first ship in the Prima Plus Class, and our commitment to pushing the boundaries in guest-first experiences that will make new waves at sea.

“Named for both the beautiful shades of blue from the ocean and our connection to the sea, Norwegian Aqua will feature new, elevated and exhilarating offerings that once again showcase NCL as the innovator in the industry and as a key contributor to a new era of cruising.”

This comes as the world's largest cruise ship with seven pools and an English pub prepares to set sail.
