We need to talk about population growth. All too often when people talk about immigration they’re called racist and told they need to throw their arms around everyone who arrives here illegally in a dinghy. But legal migration is a problem too.

Between 2011 and 2021, the population of England and Wales grew by a whopping 3.5 million - that’s 6.6 per cent. And it’s unsustainable.

The population of a small city moves to Britain every year. Net migration was usually running at over 200,000 a year, and occasionally at more than 300,000.

And they’re just the ones we know about.

Here’s another fascinating stat:

Most of the population growth took place in the south-east, with parts of London up 22.1 per cent in Tower Hamlets, though there was a 9.6 per cent decline in Kensington and Chelsea.

So what can we learn from that then? That those bleeding heart liberals, the EU flag brigade, the luvvies who all have rainbow flags in their bio next to a blue heart and a refugees welcome sign…don’t actually like immigrants. They’re moving out. They’re moving away.

They’ll bang on about how enriching mass immigration is but at the first possible opportunity they’ll move to a massive isolated pile in the country, where everyone in the village is white and send their kids to a boarding school so someone else can raise them in a true and proper British way.

But the point here is that it’s not just the immigration in the channel we need to cut down on. It’s the legal stuff as well.

According to separate Home Office statistics, visas were handed out in profusion in 2021 — 432,279 for students, 280,776 for family visas and 239,987 for work

In 10 years, just ten years, a city the size of Nottingham. Then one as big as Bristol. Add Birmingham. Then Manchester and Liverpool. And Sheffield to boot.

Is it any wonder that we’ve got a housing crisis? That inner-city schools are too full? That the NHS is overstretched? That the roads are too busy?

This for me isn’t really a demographics thing, it’s a numbers thing. There is a reason why venues or lifts have number limits. Because if there are too many people it becomes uncomfortable, unworkable.

We’re starting to see entire areas change. Lyton-on-Ouse now has more illegal immigrants or asylum seekers than residents.

I’m not against immigration. I’m against illegal immigration and mismanaged immigration.

If we don’t act now it won’t be a case of mismanaged and illegal immigration ruining this country, there just won’t be a country left to ruin.
