Liverpool footballer Diogo Jota has tragically died in a car crash in Spain.
The 28-year-old Portuguese winger was involved in a fatal accident on the A52 motorway near Palacios de Sanabria in the province of Zamora.
Spanish publication Marca reported the incident, which has sent shockwaves through the football community.
The left-winger had been a key player for Liverpool since his £4 million transfer from Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2020.

Local emergency services attended the scene on the A52.

Jota had married his partner Rute Cardoso just two weeks ago, marking what should have been one of the happiest moments in his personal life.
