She's been blasted for hugely controversial plans to essentially foist a sex survey on school kids asking them the kind of intimate details that Channel Four would turn into a 9 o'clock dating show.

As a result, Scotland's Children's watchdog has called for the census to be stopped amid grave concerns over confidentially. You can see why.

But - hold on a moment. Right, let's definitely address the data concerns. But hallelujah! It's high time someone in power did ask these questions.

Adults have been dragging children into the tawdry world of porn and perversion for a decade now, without pausing to seriously consider its impact.

Finally a government that wants to find out if we have unleashed a monster of a social and public health crisis, as 8 year olds stumble across adult content, teenagers twerk on TikTok to faceless paedophiles, rape culture explodes in schools and increasing numbers of little girls are presenting to hospital with grotesque intimate injuries.

I hope this now means that at long last someone in power recognises the blindingly obvious: The 21st century is screwing up kids. The big question is quite how much.
