A man has been detained by police at Gatwick Airport, while a cordon has been set up in the drop-off parking area of its North Terminal.
Police say they were dealing with the incident and will provide more information as and when they can.
In a statement, Sussex Police said: "We are currently dealing with an incident at Gatwick Airport. A man has been detained.
"As a precaution, a cordon is in place at the drop-off parking area at the North Terminal.

One person wrote on Twitter: “People going to Gatwick Airport North Terminal, be warned total chaos due to an incident one person detained, no one able to drop off or pick up due to cordon in place.”
While another added: "incident? No shuttles from south to North Terminal?
"Lots of concerned people queued up here, no officials in sight. Please inform us."
A third person said: "How do I make it to North Terminal to get my flight? Are flights being delayed if you’ve stopped passengers getting there?"
