Prince Harry is flying to London today following King Charles's cancer diagnosis.

Buckingham Palace announced yesterday that His Majesty had been diagnosed with cancer.

King Charles III, 75, received the diagnosis after undergoing separate treatment for a benign prostate enlargement.

In a statement, Buckingham Palace expressed the monarch's desire to assist the public's understanding about cancer.

It said: "His Majesty has chosen to share his diagnosis to prevent speculation and in the hope it may assist public understanding for all those around the world who are affected by cancer."

The exclusive poll for GB News membership readers found that an overwhelming 76 per cent of the 1,737 people that voted thought Prince Harry should not return to the royal fold. Some 21 per cent thought he should return and just three per cent were not sure.

It was revealed that the monarch had spoken to his youngest son and that the Duke of Sussex would be flying to the UK to support his father.

Prince Harry does not currently have a base in the UK after he was evicted from Frogmore Cottage last year.

The Duke's request to stay in a room at Windsor Castle was rejected in September 2023 with the Royal Family citing a lack of notice as the reason for the denial.

However, Prince Harry is expected to be allowed to stay at a Royal Family residence during his time in the UK.

This could provide father and son with the opportunity to make up following a turbulent relationship in recent years.

ITV's Lorraine praised the Prince following the news that he was returning to Britain and called for the end of the feud between the pair.

Lorraine wrote: "Families need to come together at times like this - good that Prince Harry coming over to see his dad. Hopefully bridges can be rebuilt."

Londoners were asked earlier this morning what they thought on Harry returning to the UK to be with the King.

Adam Lorkin, who works as a civil servant, said: "Sounds nice, I mean this whole family feud thing is a bit silly in my opinion. They should make up and hopefully this brings them together a little bit more.

"I think it's surprising, but I imagine the fact that they've released the news means he's probably going to be ok. But overall, I hope he's alright."

Chambers Manager, Georgia Booth said: "I mean, you know, he's got to come back to see his father, hasn't he, it's the right thing to do."

"I think it's sad. I think it's something that a lot of families have experience with. So although it's a shock, hopefully he'll get through it", Annabel Samson, a travel firm worker added.

Keith Mouque, a site manager exclaimed: "Well I think with any family bust up, it's sad. so maybe it's (Harry returning to UK) good."
