A Yorkshire couple are on a mission to help people age better - in a county with one of the lowest life expectancy rates in the country.

Promethean Longevity is run by health and fitness expert Sam Guest and medical scientist Dr Hannah Beaumont, and it offers a science-driven, personalised approach to reclaiming vitality and extending health span.

The pair have developed their own science-based algorithm which gives participants their biological age before embarking on their flagship six week ‘Stealing Fire’ programme.

Grounded in evidence-based coaching, they are already seeing remarkable results, with one participant reducing their biological age by 17 years in just six weeks.

Dr Hannah Beaumont is a Co-Owner of Promethean Longevity. She told GB News: “We all know our chronological age - our birthday - but our biological age reflects how well we’re truly living and poor diet, stress, or inactivity can age us faster than we realise.

"With personalised, science-backed coaching, we’re helping people turn back that clock. We take their initial tests and work out their biological age.

"We take a history of their exercise, what they're eating, and then we make a bespoke program that's personalised to each participant, and that will guide them through six weeks of diet.

"Everything that they eat will be planned and their exercise is planned. We can help with supplements, anti-aging protocols for things like sleep, skincare, all aspects of aging, really."

Sam and Hannah’s own health struggles has fuelled their vision. Sam rebuilt himself after burnout collapsed his extreme sports business, while Hannah overcame teenage autoimmune disease with her dedication to scientific knowledge and lifestyle changes.

This has led to the duo combining science and passion to empower people to live longer.

Their fitness mission comes as life expectancy in Yorkshire is one of the lowest in the country, lagging 2.5 years behind the national average according to ONS figures.

In the county, women also face a stark seven year gap compared to Kensington & Chelsea.

Sam Guest, Co-Owner Promethean Longevity, told GB News: "A man born in Yorkshire can expect to live almost a decade in certain parts of Yorkshire compared to someone born in certain parts of the south - that's pretty significant.

"People in Yorkshire can expect to be in poor health for the last 20 years of their life.

"In England as a whole, for one of the richest nations in the world, we lag behind Europe in terms of life expectancy and health expectancy, which is really stark.

"The crucial thing to us is not about how many years you live - it's about living those years with some kind of quality of life."

62-year-old Debbie Shaw reduced her biological age by 17 years Promethean Longevity's six week program and now has the biological age of 39.

Before she took part, Debbie could not exercise due to knee pain, and she lost her confidence and had hormonal imbalances post menopause and gained weight and lost muscle.

Within six weeks, her balance test went from 19 seconds to 37 seconds, resting heart rate (BPM) from 62 to 56, body fat per cent from 23.2 to 20.7, reaction time from 0.29 seconds to 0.26 seconds, visceral fat from six to five and maximum push ups from 28 to 40.

She told GB News: "I lost a stone and a half on their diet and that's something that I just kind of accepted was older age.

"I'm a menopausal woman and we put weight on. I started off at 56 [biological age] and I ended up at 39 and I feel 39-years-old again.

"I've really felt strong and vital and capable and got a lot more confidence in myself.

"I'd lost a lot of confidence as I got older and felt there were things that I could and couldn't do. I just feel like I could take on the world now - it's amazing."
