Brooklyn Beckham has broken his silence on social media with a birthday message to his grandmother Sandra, marking his first public acknowledgement of his family in months.
The 26-year-old posted "Happy birthday nanny xx love you so much" alongside two love hearts, in what sources describe as a heartfelt gesture amid an ongoing family rift.
The eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham has been at the centre of speculation about a bitter feud with his parents.
Despite the social media post, insiders remain sceptical about prospects for reconciliation.
Brooklyn Beckham shared his first family-related post in months
The birthday tribute represents Brooklyn's first public interaction with his family following months of silence on social media.
The gesture comes after revelations that Brooklyn secretly visited London last month without meeting his family, despite being close to their Holland Park home.
An Instagram photo showed him drinking at the Wigmore pub in the Langham Hotel, with bottles of his own-brand hot sauce visible on the table.
Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz, 30, had flown to London for a Moncler photoshoot less than two miles from his parents' residence.
His father David, 50, was just three miles away at the Chelsea Flower Show with the King that same day.
A friend revealed: "Brooklyn had kept the visit quiet from not only his mum and dad but his siblings and extended family. It was terribly sad that he had flown thousands of miles to London and hadn't engaged at all. It would have been very easy to meet up."
Brooklyn's social media activity has drawn attention for what he hasn't posted, with sources noting his silence about his own family whilst celebrating his wife's relatives.
On May 16, he shared a tribute to Nicola's late grandmother with the caption: "I miss you and will love you forever."
A friend told The Mirror: "Brooklyn's heart is of course in the right place...but it hasn't gone unnoticed how all the while he is posting about Nicola's family he is silent about his own, including his own grandfather whose birthday it was last week."
Sources report that Brooklyn has not publicly acknowledged Victoria or David's recent birthdays, his father's knighthood, or Father's Day on social media.
He has, however, celebrated his father-in-law's birthday online. Family acquaintances blame heiress Nicola for what they describe as "performative" social media posts, expressing concerns about her influence over Brooklyn's online activity.
They suggest she is "isolating" Brooklyn from his friends and family, with one pal stating: "She is creating conflict where there is none and divides are springing up left, right and centre."
However, a source close to the couple strongly disputes these claims, insisting Brooklyn makes his own decisions.
They told the publication: "She is not isolating him at all. He is free to do what he wants and he loves his wife and they are happy together. They are each other's family."
