The Portugal international and his younger sibling, Andre Silva, were killed when their vehicle came off the road in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The tragedy occurred just two weeks after Jota married his childhood sweetheart Rute Cardoso. The couple had been together since the age of 16 and have three children together.

"We lost two great people. Diogo is an example as a person, husband, son, professional. I still can't believe it, it's very difficult," said Mendes through tears.
The bodies of Jota and his brother were transported to a church in Portugal ahead of Friday's wake. Tearful mourners gathered in Gondomar at approximately 11pm on Thursday evening to receive the coffins.
Applause erupted from the assembled crowd as the hearses passed through the town. The funeral is scheduled for Saturday morning.
In his final Instagram post on Wednesday, Jota had shared footage from his wedding day - which took place just two weeks ago.

The accident happened when Jota's Lamborghini Huracan left the road, rolled over and burst into flames, igniting nearby vegetation. The supercar's tyre reportedly burst whilst overtaking another vehicle approximately ten miles from the Portuguese border.
Emergency services rushed to the scene but were unable to save the siblings from the burning wreckage. The brothers had been travelling through Spain on their way to Santander to catch a ferry back to Britain.
Jota had been advised against flying following recent lung surgery and was making the journey by road ahead of Liverpool's pre-season training, which is set to begin on Monday.
