The Texas Attorney General warned Biden’s actions ‘put our country and our citizens at risk’

Texas has begun a legal fightback against the Biden administration as they announced they would be suing the US Government over the cutting of razor wire at the southern border.

The Lone Star State’s Attorney General Ken Paxton made the announcement on Tuesday following the intervention of federal agents to destroy the wiring used to keep migrants from entering the country.

However, within days of the installation, Biden’s men were seen cutting the wire.

“By cutting Texas’s concertina wire, the federal government has not only illegally destroyed property owned by the State of Texas; it has also disrupted the State’s border security efforts, leaving gaps in Texas’s border barriers and damaging Texas’s ability to effectively deter illegal entry into its territory,” the lawsuit reads.

In a statement, the attorney general said: “Texas has the sovereign right to construct border barriers to prevent the entry of illegal aliens.

“Americans across the country were horrified to watch Biden’s open-border policy in action: agents were physically cutting wires and assisting the aliens’ entry into our state.

“This is illegal. It puts our country and our citizens at risk.”

A spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security refused to comment on the submission of the lawsuit but said: “Border Patrol agents have a responsibility under federal law to take those who have crossed onto US soil without authorization into custody for processing, as well as to act when there are conditions that put our workforce or migrants at risk.”

Abbott said he was forced to deploy the National Guard after Biden’s men undid his efforts to keep the border secure.

“Texas installed razor wire in Eagle Pass to stop illegal crossings,” Abbott wrote.

“Today the Biden Admin CUT that wire, opening the floodgates to illegal immigrants.

“I immediately deployed more Texas National Guard to repel illegal crossings & install more razor wire.”

Abbott added: “I officially declared an invasion at our border because of Biden's policies.

“We deployed the Texas National Guard, DPS & local law enforcement.

“We are building a border wall, razor wire & marine barriers. We are also repelling migrants.”

“The courts must put a stop to it, or Biden’s free-for-all will make this crushing immigration crisis even worse.”

When asked about the attitude of Texans towards the migrant crisis, former Republican nominee Genevieve Collins told GB News: “It is the number one issue for almost all Texans truly.

“From an economic standpoint, we're doing great, but every Texan is affected by our border security crisis.

“It is the number one issue for all Texans and I don't see any of that changing.

“I think attitudes are becoming more and more entrenched in how this is really an issue and we're just clamouring for attention from the Biden administration or from any Democrat running for office.

“This has to be a top issue because all constituents are affected by the crime, the drugs and the insecurity that is happening from this issue.”
