Cyber experts have revealed an app on the iPhone which can protect users online.
The app is designed to help those who are worried they are being targeted by hackers.
The app is described by Apple as “an extreme, optional protection that should only be used if you believe you may be personally targeted by a highly sophisticated cyberattack.”
With cyber security being a serious issue, this app could potentially help make things safer and more comfortable for iPhone users.
The feature was added in 2022, with Apple warning that putting your device into Lockdown Mode will impact usage: “Apps, website and features will be strictly limited for security, and some experiences will be completely unavailable.”
One cyber-expert said users should learn more about the feature.
Speaking to The Sun, Consumer Privacy Champion at Pixel Privacy Chris Hauk said: "Familiarise yourself with Lockdown Mode.
"It limits who can contact you, blocks email attachments, disables link preview in messages, and disables certain web features known to be used by bad actors."
To activate Lockdown Mode, head into Settings > Privacy & Security > Lockdown Mode. This may appear at the bottom of the list.
