Political bias in schools has been a problem for far too long.

Children are being indoctrinated by a gabble of highly unionised Trots who, despite claiming to be overworked and underpaid, somehow manage to find the time to deviate from the syllabus to fill children’s heads with a lefty ideology.

Nadhim Zahawi, the education secretary, is issuing guidance to teachers and schools in a bid to protect children from the rampant political bias in our education system.

There have been some ridiculous examples of teachers forcing their political views onto children, including a primary school in Nottingham where children were urged to write a letter to their local MP to call for Boris Johnson to resign over partygate.

At that age, children should be thinking about their own parties, not calling for the head of state to be forced out of office.

Thousands of teachers ran classes asking kids – ‘Winston Churchill: hero or war criminal.’ Hero… that was easy…next question… They appear to be ignoring the fact that if it wasn’t for Winston Churchill the children would be learning about the Third Reich.

And there wouldn’t be any of the diversity that people care so deeply about. When the Black Lives Matter group came to the fore, many teachers saw that as an opportunity to impose their views on race and unconscious bias on their children.

There were pictures of children taking the knee. The fact is the BLM movement published a manifesto, and in that manifesto it basically contains Marxist ideology.

Things like the radical redistribution of wealth.

The breakdown of the nuclear family… It also pushes critical race theory – it helps foster the idea that white people are all inherently frothing racists who should apologise for the actions that their ancestors probably didn’t even have any part in…

We’ve got the trans lobby doing its best to tell kids they’re born into the wrong body.

And teachers have jumped on board with this too – some schools have stopped using gendered language such as Miss and Sir.

There is a primary school in Lancashire that went vegetarian because the headmistress wanted to teach the children about climate change and the fact that the world is going to end.

Instead of becoming angry at pupils, teachers are also encouraged to say a child has 'emptied my resilience bucket', before sending them to the 'nurture room' if their behaviour gets out of control.

This is emptying my resilience bucket to be honest. If teachers want to be political activists, they should go into politics and get out of the classroom.

Let kids be kids. Is it any wonder there is a mental health crisis among children?
