A British farmer has warned that protests witnessed across Berlin could soon be prevalent on the streets of Britain.
Farmers in Germany are blockading roads in protest against subsidy cuts, with more than 500 tractors and trucks parked up by Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate.
The subsidy cuts were put in place to fix a budget crisis after a court ruled the government’s 2024 budget was illegal.
Speaking on GB News, farmer Robert Wyn Jones accused the Government of neglecting the agricultural industry.

He went onto warn that farmers in Britain may be encouraged to carry out a similar ploy.
“People need to wake up and smell the coffee”, he said.

“There are thousands and thousands of farmers out there protesting.
“Farmers don’t protest unless there is a real reason because they want to be at home producing food affordably for everybody.
“To see these kind of scenes is scary. It’s scary for us in the UK.”
He went on to warn against the growth of processed food, arguing that continuing to neglect farmers will see millions continuing to turn to unhealthy options.
“Start to eat more seasonal, start to have a balanced diet and invest in our children and educate them on good food”, he said.
“It’s surf and turf. All this processed rubbish is killing our children. It’s a bigger picture than anybody else can see but we have to be very, very careful that things like this are happening in Holland, Canada, New Zealand and Germany.
“We have to be careful it doesn’t come to the United Kingdom because the way things are going, it could be.”
Farmers in Germany are enraged with their association calling on the government to scrap all plans for cutting subsidies.
Interior Minister Nancy Falser warned that the blockades will “cause anger and disagreement” as people are prevented from going to work, school or seeing a doctor.
