The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set to mark a significant family milestone today as their son Archie celebrates the sixth anniversary of his christening.
The private ceremony took place on July 6 in 2019, at Windsor Castle's Private Chapel, when Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was just two months old.
The intimate service, attended by close family and friends, represented a departure from tradition as the couple chose not to use St George's Chapel, where Harry and Meghan were married and where the Duke himself was christened in 1984.
The christening featured several traditional royal elements, including Archie wearing the historic christening gown, a replica of the Honiton lace and satin robe worn by generations of royal babies, created by Angela Kelly, dressmaker to the late Queen.

Official photographs from the day showed the infant cradled in his mother's arms, with Prince Harry seated beside them.
The guest list included the then-Prince Charles and Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland.
Since relocating to the United States in 2020, the Sussexes have established a new life away from royal duties, raising Archie, now six, and his younger sister Princess Lilibet, three.
Insights into their family life in California have been rare, with Meghan occasionally sharing glimpses on social media.

The Duchess of Sussex has yet to mark the sweet anniversary for her six-year-old son on social media.
However, royal fans were recently let in on a heartwarming family tradition established by Harry that was now enjoyed by the children.
The revelation came as Meghan celebrated July 4 with a series of posts, one of which called back to the beginnings of her relationship with Harry.

In her post, Meghan reminisced about her second date with Prince Harry, which fell on July 4, where "H brought me cupcakes to celebrate".
Included in the post was a selfie of the couple from the date and an image of one of the treats the Duke had brought, complete with "4th of July" icing.
"Now, all these years later, our two children are in on the tradition," she added excitedly, sharing a heartwarming image.
The picture showed a plate of seven cupcakes decorated in patriotic red, white and blue icing and toppings.

Three of the treats featured peace signs, which appeared to have been piped on by hand.
Neither Archie nor Lilibet could be seen clearly, but a pair of small hands were holding up the plate for the photo.
While Lilibet has made occasional appearances in Meghan’s As Ever promotions, Archie was last properly seen as the Duchess marked Father’s Day.
"Happy Father's Day to our favourite guy," Meghan captioned the post that was set to Jason Mraz's acoustic rendition of Have It All.
The footage revealed Harry teaching six-year-old Archie to ride a bicycle and dancing with him in their California home.
The duke was also captured reading to a baby Archie in one clip, whilst other moments showed him playing with both children on swings and near waterfalls.
