Britons can start celebrating Easter early with Cadbury’s two new chocolate snacks – but not everyone loves the new treats

Easter is synonymous with chocolate and chocolate is synonymous with Cadbury.

The world-renowned confectionery company has launched two new products ahead of the holiday – but opinions are mixed from those who have tried them.

Cadbury said: “This year, Cadbury has expanded its Easter range, revealing a new egg-citing range of delectable Easter treats.”

Chocoholics can feast on the new Cadbury Creme Egg Bar and Cadbury Mini Eggs Orange.

'It was tasty. I ate the whole bar, piece after piece'

The chocolate company said: “Brits are already goo-ing crazy for the brand new Cadbury Creme Egg Bar, a delicious twist on the fan-favourite Easter delight.

“But that’s not the only egg-tastic treat Cadbury is launching this year. Eggy aficionados can indulge in the first Mini Eggs flavour development in over 50 years - The Cadbury Mini Eggs Orange - a tangy twist on the classic Cadbury Mini Eggs, set to strike your tastebuds with an orange-flavoured milk chocolate centre.

“Whether you’re hunting for delectable gifts, miniatures for the all-important Easter Egg hunt, or searching for an indulgent afternoon snack, Cadbury has got you covered. After all, there’s something scrumptiously special for everyone this Easter.”

The Cadbury Creme Egg Bar and Cadbury Mini Eggs Orange are both available in stores now to get Britons into the Easter spirit.

The Cadbury Creme Egg Bar (123g) is available nationwide with a recommended retail price of £1.80.

Tesco customers can get their hands on Cadbury Mini Eggs Orange (80g), again with a recommended retail price of £1.80.

Britons flocked to social media to comment on Cadbury’s new Easter additions and opinions were divided.

One Twitter user said: “The Cadbury Creme Egg bar is the dog’s b*******. I shall be consuming them daily until they disappear from the shelves.”

Another said: “I got a Cadbury Creme Egg bar today. It's a Creme Egg but in the formation of a chocolate bar. Let's see how it goes.”

They later added: “Updated: It was tasty, I ate the whole bar, piece after piece. I'm a pig, I know.”

But not everyone was impressed. One chocolate fan called the Cadbury creme egg bar “not tasty" and "weird vibes” with “terrible innovation”. They advised: “Never reinvent a classic - shut it down.”

As for the Cadbury Mini Eggs Orange, one chocoholic called them “delicious”. They added: “They are unbelievable, get on them ASAP. Don’t wait until Easter, they won’t be around.”

However, another shopper was left underwhelmed. They said: “I feel like Cadbury doing an orange chocolate version of mini eggs was absolutely pointless.”
