The Clarkson's Farm star revealed a number of his cattle had contracted bovine TB earlier this month

Kaleb Cooper is currently hard at work on the farm after sharing regular updates of the long hours he's undertaking to make sure crops are taken out of the ground correctly.

However, in a more downbeat update last week, Cooper was emotional as he shared that a number of his dairy cows had contracted bovine TB.

It's no secret how devastating the disease can have on farmers once it infiltrates cattle, as documented by Cooper and Jeremy Clarkson in the second season of Clarkson's Farm.

But now, Cooper is looking to make amends and soften the blow of losing his cattle to TB.

In his latest Instagram update, Cooper had a request for his followers as he recorded himself inside a barn.

Speaking to the camera, Cooper said: "I'm in need of a working collie pup so I can train it without the cattle and stuff like that after this morning's outing."

Turning his attention to the cows, he added: "Um, also anyone got anymore... anyone got any cattle for sale?

"I'll buy a few more. I need some," the Clarkson's Farm star admitted.

He signed off the plea by conceding: "Got a lot of fodder this year. A lot of fodder."

Cooper seemed to be in high spirits which was a marked change from his tearful demeanour when he first delivered the news about his cattle last week.

When he first shared the horrible news, a tearful Cooper revealed: "Now, today's a bit stressful.

"I've just found out the place where I have my dairy cows, the 21 dairy cows that I bought, has got three reactors to TB.

"I don't really know how to describe the emotion," he said, struggling to maintain his composure throughout.

He soldiered through: "I mean, I know it's not all my cows and I don't know how he feels but... it's hard.

"It's not good. Three reactors so therefore we've got to test again in two month's time.

"That's three cows we've lost that are milking," Cooper signed off.

The bombshell came just weeks after Cooper had decided to take the step back into dairy farming after purchasing the herd with a pal.

While Cooper continues his work at Diddly Squat and the farms in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, his co-star Clarkson is currently enjoying some downtime in France.

The Grand Tour host has been sharing regular updates from his sun-soaked getaway although did hit back when one fan complained about Diddly Squat in response to one of his holiday posts.

The pair will return to screens in the third season of Clarkson's Farm with a release date looking likely to be next year.
