The designer of Princess Kate's necklace has spoken exclusively to GB News about the impact this has had on her brand.
The Princess of Wales chose a meaningful piece from British brand Auree Jewellery for her visit to the RHS Wellbeing Garden at Colchester Hospital in Essex on Wednesday.
Kate wore the brand's £425 Bali Birthstone Necklace, crafted from nine-carat gold and featuring a garnet stone representing January, her birth month.
The personal jewellery choice reflects Kate's continued support for British designers, particularly smaller independent brands that create pieces with special significance.

Amelia Carmichael, founder of Auree Jewellery, spoke exclusively to GB News about the royal patronage. "It is so wonderful to see the Princess of Wales wearing the Auree birthstone necklace," she said.
"She is a brilliant supporter of so many small British designers. Not only is this hugely encouraging to young brands, many of which are run by women and mothers, but it gives such recognition and credibility to the British jewellery industry."
Carmichael's comments help show the substantial impact of royal support on independent British businesses, particularly those led by female entrepreneurs who balance motherhood with their creative ventures.
The sentimental accessory complemented Kate's elegant ensemble, which featured a Blaze Milano striped blazer paired with chocolate brown cigarette trousers.
Kate's necklace costs £425 from the brand Auree.

The birthstone necklace holds particular sentimental value for Kate, who previously wore it during an intimate family moment in 2022.
The Princess was photographed wearing the same piece whilst baking with her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis in their Kensington Palace kitchen.
The family was preparing treats for the Cardiff community ahead of the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
During that casual home setting, Kate paired the necklace with a pink and white gingham blouse featuring a Peter Pan collar by Brora and relaxed mom jeans from & Other Stories, demonstrating how the meaningful accessory transitions seamlessly from formal royal engagements to precious family time.

Kate's affinity for personal jewellery extends beyond the birthstone necklace. In 2020, she wore a gold necklace featuring three circular charms etched with her children's initials "G", "C" and "L" during an engagement in Battersea Park.
She similarly chose a Daniella Draper necklace with gold charms representing each child's initial whilst meeting schoolchildren in Edinburgh in 2021.
The Princess also treasures pieces inherited from Princess Diana, including the emerald choker worn to The Earthshot Prize 2022 in Boston and diamond and South Sea pearl earrings at the 2019 BAFTA Awards.
Her blue sapphire engagement ring remains the most iconic tribute to William's late mother.
