The Clarkson's Farm breakthrough star is taking on a rather unexpected venture

Jeremy Clarkson has joined Kaleb Cooper's legion of fans in showing their support for the young farmer after he unveiled his latest work project.

While he may be a dab-hand at Diddly Squat, Cooper is no stranger to filling his work diary with all manner of projects - including an ongoing nationwide tour.

But now Cooper has turned his attention to the music market with the release of an all-new charity single.

Aptly titled I Can’t Stand Sheep!, Cooper has provided the vocals to the track in collaboration with the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI) who will receive 100 percent of the profits.

Known for his cheeky persona and hilarious face-offs with Clarkson throughout Amazon's record-breaking series - which will be back on screens "soon" - Cooper has revealed there's a serious reason behind his decision.

"Never did I think I’d be saying these words, that I’m releasing a record," he began to PA. "When you listen to it, you’ll realise why I didn’t ever think it was possible – my singing voice isn’t a match for my farming skills by any stretch.

"I had a lot of fun recording it and I hope that people like it, but there is also a serious side to it.

"As a community, farmers are only too aware of how pressurised the industry has become, the farming way of life can feel lonely at times.

"I wanted to make sure that if people are struggling they have somewhere to reach out to," the young farmer added.

Promoting the single Cooper took to Instagram to share a snippet of what fans can expect and it appears to have caught the eye of his farming boss - or as Cooper likes to describe him, apprentice - Clarkson.

Clarkson showed his support for Cooper as he gave the video a "like" while hundreds of fans took to the comments to echo the sentiment.

One fan joked: "Clarksons corrupted you, I miss the simple farm boy who was afraid of heights."

"This is AMAZING," another added alongside a fire emoji while a third commented: "This is what we’ve all been waiting for!"

A fourth fan applauded Cooper as they quipped: "Glad to see the sheep hate still lives on strong in you @cooper_kaleb. This is brilliant x."

And his fiancée Taya even waded into the comment to say: "SO PROUD OF YOU!" (sic)

The track was released on Thursday so Cooper's fans can go listen to the single now.

Cooper isn't the only member of the Diddly Squat family who's delighted fans with news about other projects away from the Oxfordshire farm of late.

Clarkson has defied the cancel culture mob as ITV has confirmed when exactly new episodes of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire will be back on screens - despite rumours of an axe following his Meghan Markle column.
