Dan Wootton says, 'every measure introduced by Scheming Nicola Sturgeon and Mad Dog Mark Drakeford has successfully spread fear but done nothing to stop deaths'

We’ll never get back to normal if virtue signalling supermarkets like Sainbsury’s, John Lewis and Waitrose, train operators up and down the country, and failed mayors like Sadiq Khan keep us muzzled.

Today we should be celebrating our freedom and reclaiming the beautiful right to show off our faces wherever we want. But it’s clear the establishment cannot accept this pandemic is effectively over for the UK; they’re addicted to the power of control through fear.

Many folk remain understandably wounded by the constant flow of scaremongering from the scientists and so-called medical experts who came to dominate our lives that they can’t believe we’re on the way out. But, just days away from the two year anniversary of our first Covid case, we really are this time.

After all, 98 per cent of English adults now have Covid antibodies – that’s a figure that is never trumpeted in the media but means the vast bulk of the population have a degree of built-in protection against the virus either via natural infection or vaccination.

Remember, there’s also scant evidence cloth masks do anything to stop the spread. As Hugh Osmond, founder of the Punch Taverns group, told the Daily Telegraph today…

“Being told to wear masks on tubes and buses creates a psychological message that people should still be fearful and not go back to work and not travel into the capital. It’s a signal for people to be worried, which has a tremendously damaging impact on the economy and specifically the hospitality sector. It’s a destructive message which keeps people away from what they would normally do, such as visiting pubs and restaurants, and other activities. That’s not only economically damaging, but also to their mental health and wellbeing.”

Also virtually ignored by most of the media is the fact that the ludicrous Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish restrictions – from singing and nightclub bans to the hospitality industry being decimated to never-ending work from home orders to limits on how many people we can socialise with in our own home – all these restrictions have resulted in HIGHER Covid death rates than England, while destroying lives and livelihoods in the process.

England’s Covid death rate since Freedom Day on July the 19th last year is 37.3 per 100,000 people. Wales has a rate of 37.7, Scotland 44.3 and Northern Ireland 48.2.

Every measure introduced by Scheming Nicola Sturgeon and Mad Dog Mark Drakeford has successfully spread fear but done nothing to stop deaths from Covid, which surely was the point.

Or was it? Have some political leaders just become addicted to the power?

Sturgeon and Drakeford in particular saw that speaking from the daily Covid pulpit of doom and scaring everyone senseless made them even more popular.

Oh, and in Sturgeon’s case, it also meant she could delay her fake promise to the SNP to hold a second independence referendum.

What excuses the scientists then? By this week SAGE projected deaths would hit 600 to 6,000 a DAY. As of the 19th of January the seven-day average for England was just 219.3.

Hospitalisations were projected to hit 3,000 to 10,000 a day. But their 7 day average stood at 1573.6 on January 22.

In fact, the number of Covid patients in intensive care is at a six-month low and in the week to January the 14th deaths were six per cent lower than the five-year average.

Every projection of Omicron calamity just last month from the hysterics who wanted Christmas cancelled didn’t just turn out to be wrong but so wide of the mark they should all resign in shame. Plan BS is over.

Lockdowns should be banished forever – they cause more harm than good. That is the best chance Boris has to save his job and career.
