Alex Phillips: Will the Queen ever catch a break from her troublesome Princes?

If you're going to cough up £12 million to make something go away, well, you'd really hope that it would go away.

But the out of court settlement between Prince Andrew and Virginia Giuffre, the victim of convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, who accused the Queen's second son of sleeping with her for cash, allegations he denies, is likely to stick around like a bad smell for pretty much forever.

And while the controlled explosion of getting the whole sordid affair dealt with before the Queen's Jubilee celebrations kick off with the pomp and circumstance they warrant, the circumstances of the alleged romps could yet be published in a tell-all book.

Now, with grandson Harry set to court even more attention with his own look-at-me stocking filler book, one wonders when the Queen will ever catch a break from her troublesome Princes.
