Liberal Democrats campaigner Mohammed Amin has hit out at a professor who was banned for suggesting Islam was going to “take over” while branding westernised girls “lunatics”, saying he “wouldn’t want this teacher near my children”.
Aqib Khan has been banned after a Teaching Regulation Agency professional misconduct panel found he had "undermined fundamental British values".
Khan was an English teacher at Harborne Academy in Birmingham between December 2020 and March 2023 and the 30-year-old is also said to have told students that he rejected a female doctor who earned £70,000 as he couldn’t be with a woman who earned more than him.
The panel heard he told students that the baby of a woman over the age of 30 was more likely to be disabled than a wife having a child with her cousin, along with other remarks about women.
Mohammed Amin slammed the teacher

Speaking to GB News, former Chairman of the Conservative Muslim Forum Mohammed Amin said: "All I know about this case is what I have read in the media but from what I know, I would not want this teacher anywhere near my children.
"I think that it is the right decision to remove him, whether the ban should be for life or ten years until he gets re-educated in a different issue. But certainly the way he was behaving at the moment shows that is he's not fit to be in a classroom.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS
When asked what he thought about Khan's comments regarding women, Mohammed said: "It shows this person's own massive ignorance about Islam, the Prophet Muhammad. Peace be upon him.
"When he was a young man, he worked for a wealthy widow and she was his employer. So he's complaining about a woman doctor earning more than him when the Prophet Muhammad worked for a woman [that earned more than him.]
"Islam does not go in for gender inequality, it recognizes the equality of men and women before God and eventually that woman proposed to him that they got married.
"Islam is not a misogynistic religion. Unfortunately, there are far too many Muslim men who are misogynistic."
Discussing the growing Muslim population, the teacher reportedly told children: "Natural selection is increasing our numbers as. By 2050 the whole of UK, France and Germany will look like Birmingham.
"The number of Muslims went up 44 per cent in 10 years. Everyone else is falling or growing at a snail’s pace. Traditional values is greater than liberalism."
Khan said feminism teaches that "women are equal and discourages motherhood and being a wife" while "Islam teaches women are x3 more valuable than men if they’re good mothers and wives (and they can work if they want to)".
The panel heard he said words to the effect of: "If you believe in feminism, if you believe in aborting babies, in man and man and woman being married, if you believe in working until you are 35 years old and not having any children.
"If you believe all this stuff, that’s fine, believe in it. But I am telling you one fact, you’re going to get replaced by Muslims even faster."
The panel found Khan guilty of "undermining fundamental British values including individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs".
