Royal author Katie Nicholl says the 'public olive branches' shown by the King towards Harry shows that he is 'hopeful there will be a reconciliation'

King Charles III is “devastated” by what has happened with Prince Harry and is “hopeful there will be a reconciliation”, a royal author has claimed.
Harry and his wife Meghan Markle have drifted further apart from the rest of the Royal Family after stepping down as senior royals in 2020.
The pair have since moved to the US to live.
And royal author Katie Nicholl claims that the King is hopeful of fixing the relationship with his son.

Ms Nicholl said: “He is hopeful that there will be a reconciliation. I think we saw that in the very public olive branches that were extended to Harry and Meghan.'
“Charles absolutely has been devastated by what has happened
“If you think back just a couple of years around the time of the wedding, the relationship between Harry and his father was, I think, probably better than it ever had been,” she told Fox News.
The “olive branches” Ms Nicholl was referring to include Charles’ message to the Sussexes during his first speech at King.
During the address last month, the King said: “I want also to express my love for Harry and Meghan as they continue to build their lives overseas.”
While the King has a photograph at Buckingham Palace from Harry and Meghan’s royal wedding, a video revealed earlier this week.
