Google apologised for 'getting it wrong' with their AI bot Gemini

Michael Knowles has blasted the "moral maxim" surrounding children and transgender issues, as Google is facing backlash for their AI bot Gemini.

The tech moguls have been criticised after the artificial intelligence system appeared to not condemn certain moral issues, including gender and sexual issues.

In its most viral error, the Gemini chatbot was mocked for its inability to produce historical figures of white people, instead only showing generated images of people of colour.

Prabhakar Raghavan, Google's senior vice president, issued an apology and said it "wasn’t what they intended" for Gemini.

Admitting that the company "got it wrong", Raghavan added: "We did not want Gemini to refuse to create images of any particular group.

"And we did not want it to create inaccurate historical images."

In a discussion with GBN America, host of The Daily Wire Michael Knowles hit out at Google and blasted the Gemini bot for "not weighing in" on "controversial issues".

Knowles told host Patrick Christys that we are now living in a time where we are told "if it feels good, do it".

He explained: "It's a moral maxim. We live in a time where we're told that you can't have anything resembling a traditional moral framework."

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:

Knowles fumed: "We live in a time where we're told that little children can make the decision to permanently alter their sex.

"They can castrate themselves, pretend to be the opposite sex, to undergo surgeries and hormone replacement therapies.

"And so it raises this question, if anything goes when it comes to sex, so long as it's consensual, and if the left argues that children can also give consent on sexual matters, then we're we're left with this horrific logical conclusion that the Google Gemini bot seems to have arrived at itself."

In criticism of the Gemini system's failure to generate images of white historical figures, Knowles said the error was "embarrassing" for the company, especially after being "called out" by competitor Elon Musk.

Knowles fumed: "It shows you a simple fact of politics, which is personnel is policy. The people who work for Google, 99.9 per cent of them are extreme leftists who in their identity politics truly hate white men above all else.

"And surprise, surprise, the product that Google puts out is going to discriminate against us poor, pale fellows."

Patrick agreed with Knowles and said it was "about time someone did stand up for us".
