Speaking in the GB newsroom today, Tom greeted members by saying: "Good Afternoon Britain! It's a new show here on GB News, launching at midday today."
Joining Tom in the newsroom Emily gave her inside look to viewers on what to expect for their first show: "We're going to be looking at stories in a bit of a different way, I think.
"All the angles, all the most compelling stories, little bits of controversy, we'll debate between ourselves too."
Tom added: "Core to the ethos of the program is going to be that debate.
"Different panels throughout the show, bringing all of these different perspectives to the issues that really matter.
"And it's a crucial time of day, midday until three o'clock, where lots of stuff happens, particularly in Westminster, but around the country too."
Emily concluded: "We'd love you to join us for Good Afternoon Britain."
