Tom Cruise, 61, ‘splits’ with girlfriend Elsina Khayrova, 36, days after meeting her children

Actor Tom Cruise has reportedly split from his Russian girlfriend after meeting her last December at a prestigious event in London.
The Mission: Impossible star, 61, had apparently just met Elsina Khayrova’s children days ago but their relationship has seemingly “cooled off” despite the pair appearing cosy together just weeks ago.
Cruise and Khayrova are believed to have met at a Mayfair party at the end of last year and have since been spotted together at events, while a source confirmed the two were officially "an item".
However, it's now been divulged Cruise “cooled off the romance” but is keen to stay friends with the 36-year-old as they live in the same London building
A source explained: “'To end things on a bad note would have been awkward if they'd bumped into each other in the lift.”
Speaking to The Sun, they went on: “There are no hard feelings between them and for Tom, their relationship simply ran its course.”
Khayrova has a son and a daughter from her previous marriage to Russian oligarch Dimitry Tsvetkov, and it's believed Cruise only met them for the first time days ago.
While the socialite has remained active on social media, posting as recently as Wednesday evening, she hasn’t addressed the reported breakup.
Taking to Instagram stories in the middle of the week, she shared several snaps of herself, giving fans a glimpse into her day.
In one clip, she was sniffing some decorative flowers and captioned the post: “The smell of spring is in the air”.

Khayrova is the daughter of leading Russian politician Rinat Khayrova, a close ally of Russian President Putin.
Just last week, MailOnline reported she and Cruise were “growing closer” and had attended a gala dinner where Prince William was the guest of honour.
During the London Air Ambulance Gala in central London, the Prince even poked fun at the actor, showcasing his humorous side as he jokingly took aim at the A-lister.
He remarked: “I should also take this opportunity to give a mention to my - our - fellow pilot, Tom Cruise. Tom, huge thanks for supporting us tonight.”

He went on to tease: “And Tom if you wouldn't mind not borrowing either of the new helicopters for the next Mission Impossible, it would be appreciated.
"We have all seen on our screens that - how can I put it - you seem to have a different take on 'normal wear and tear' to the rest of us. It's not the kind that buffs out."
A source previously told the MailOnline: “It’s well known within Elsina's circle that she and Tom are now an item.
“They've grown very close over the past few weeks but take a lot of care not to be photographed together because they want to maintain their privacy.”
