The Phildelphia Eagles lost 32-9 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their play-off wild card game on Monday night.

A Philadelphia Eagles fan showed his frustration at the team being knocked out of the NFL playoffs by chucking a bucket of popcorn over head coach Nick Sirianni from the stands before being chased by security in the stands.

The Eagles had suffered a dip in form down the stretch of the regular season that saw them lose six of their last seven games.

The reigning NFC champions were reliant on the play-offs to help try and kickstart them back into gear.

But Sirianni was unable to get his side firing as they fell to an embarrassing 32-9 defeat to Baker Mayfield's Buccaneers.

Most Eagles fans had already left the Raymond James Stadium before the end of the match with a few left to watch their team leave the field.

Sirianni was berated by a small section of angry Eagles fans as he made his way down the tunnel.

And one spectator showed his frustration by launching a large bucket of popcorn in the direction of the Eagles head coach.

In the clip, the fan could be heard yelling: “You’re done Nick! You’re done! You’re f***ing done Nick!

”The spectator had a football helmet with him and announced he was done before attempting to walk out the stadium.

But security weren't willing to let the perpetrator leave easily with one member of staff head saying: “No, you ain’t leaving nowhere. Get your a** over here.”

Several members of staff could then be seeing running up the stairs into the stands as the spectator began to make his exit from the stadium.

The clip cuts off before security catch up with the Eagles fan, but Yardbarker claim the fan was 'eventually apprehended'.

Sirianni faces an uncertain future as the Eagles head coach, who started the season 10-1.

But the 42-year-old deflected questions about his own future at the Eagles immediately after the loss on Monday.

“I’m not thinking about that,” Sirianni said.

“I’m thinking about the guys. Again, there’s a lot of guys in that locker room, all the guys in that locker room, every single one of them that put their heart and soul into this. I’m not worried about me."

Jalen Hurts was also asked whether he wanted Sirianni to return and appeared to show support for his head coach.

"I didn't know he was going anywhere," Hurts said.

"I have a ton of confidence in everyone in this building.

"Just a matter of us going out there and playing clean football, and that's been something we have not done."
