Tiger Woods looks set to make his return to the Masters next week.

Tiger Woods has reportedly 'eliminated sex' from his pre-Masters preparations in order to keep himself completely focused on the first major of the year.

The 15-time major champion is currently understood to be single after his acrimonious split with Erica Herman last year.

And the New York Post claim there is 'no one to speak of' in regards to Woods' current relationship status.

But that still hasn't stopped the American sports icon from implementing drastic measures as he prepares to touch down in Augusta next week.

“He’s focused,” a friend of Woods told the New York Post.

“He’s working really hard in the gym. He’s eating right. He’s even eliminated sex.

“He does that now when he’s preparing: no sex until the tournament is over.

“He doesn’t want anything to take away his focus.”

It's still not been confirmed whether or not Woods will play at the Masters as he's remained radio silent since withdrawing from the Genesis Invitational last month.

However, Woods is said to have flown to Georgia last weekend in a sign to suggest he will play the major.

He reportedly played a round at Augusta with club chairman Fred Ridley and close friend Justin Thomas.

Woods' current fitness is shrouded in mystery as he blamed his withdrawal from the Genesis Invitational on an illness as opposed to any injury concerns.

However, the 48-year-old was expected to play a warm-up event before the Masters but was surprisingly absent from the Players Championship.

Augusta National is deemed a difficult course for Woods to get around due to the undulations all over the 18 holes.

The golf superstar admitted earlier this year that his body is still adapting to the ankle fusion surgery he underwent after last year's Masters.

Speaking ahead of the Genesis Invitational in February, Woods claimed he no longer had any pain in his ankle.

However, he was still experiencing troubles with his back where he has undergone multiple surgeries throughout his career.

Woods has now withdrawn midway through his last two tournaments dating back to February last year.
