The German will be leaving the Bundesliga giants at the end of the season

West Ham are reportedly interested in Thomas Tuchel following the news the 50-year-old will be leaving Bayern Munich this summer.

The German has overseen a chaotic season over at the Allianz Arena, with the Bundesliga giants enduring a frustrating campaign.

Bayern are currently eight points adrift of Bayer Leverkusen in the table, while they're already out of the DFB-Pokal and facing a huge fight to reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

And the Daily Mail say West Ham are 'interested' in Tuchel following the bombshell development.

David Moyes has worked wonders during his time at the London Stadium.

He has previously saved the club from relegation and, just last year, steered the Hammers to UEFA Conference League glory.

At the start of the year, West Ham were in contention to finish in the top six, with the east London giants punching well above their weight.

But they have failed to win a single game in 2024.

They were sent crashing out of the FA Cup by Bristol City at the start of the year, losing 1-0 in a replay after a 1-1 draw on home soil.

West Ham have also slumped to disappointing draws against Bournemouth and Sheffield United.

And they're currently on a run of three losses in a row, having toiled against West Ham, Arsenal and Nottingham Forest respectively.

While the Hammers are 'interested' in Tuchel, the report says two other teams could soon eye up the 50-year-old.

Eddie Howe has failed to get Newcastle fully firing this term, leading to talk the 46-year-old could lose his job at the end of the season.

And Manchester United's turbulent season under Erik ten Hag could yet see the Dutchman axed come the summer, particularly following the arrival of Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

Tuchel is a serial winner who has won trophies with Bayern, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund over the years.

Yet his exits from clubs in recent years have become more and more fiery, with Bayern the latest example.

Installed as Julian Nagelsmann's successor last year, big things were expected of the 50-year-old.

But Tuchel has upset players and board members alike at Bayern, which has contributed to his departure.

Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen, meanwhile, told club media that Tuchel was leaving after an 'open and good' conversation with the coach.

"In an open, good conversation we came to the decision to mutually end our collaboration in the summer," he said.

"Our goal is to carry out a sporting realignment with a new coach for the 2024-25 season.

"Until then, every individual in the club is expressly challenged to achieve the maximum possible in the Champions League and the Bundesliga.

"I also explicitly hold the team responsible.

"Especially in the Champions League, we are convinced that after the 0-1 defeat in the first leg at Lazio Rome, we will advance to the quarter-finals in the second leg in our fully occupied Allianz Arena with our fans behind us."

Tuchel himself admitted he was hoping to leave Bayern on a positive note.

"We have agreed that we will end our collaboration after this season," he said.

"Until then, I and my coaching team will of course continue to do everything we can to ensure maximum success."
